Required Software
Note: The install documentation is in transition. This page has been upgrade to reflect use of FreeBSD 7.3 in the installation. However, not all of the other pages have yet been updated. Please let Utah know (via the emulab-admins mailing list) of your intention to install before you begin so that we can let you know of the latest developments.
The following list contains all of the software you will need to install Emulab. We recommend downloading all of it beforehand to avoid delays during the install process. Contact us for any Emulab-specific packages that are not yet publicly available.

Needs updating for latest release--talk to Utah. You should be using a documentation snapshot that corresponds to the release number you are installing. The documentation you are currently reading corresponds to release 5.0 (wiki).

FreeBSD is the Operating System for all Emulab servers. Only the first CD will be required for a standard installation.
Note: You will want to install the 32bit version, NOT the the 64bit version. Emulab is known to have problems with the 64bit version of FreeBSD.Main page: http://www.freebsd.org
